O my God, Thou knowest I have never desired but to love Thee alone. I seek no other glory. Thy Love has gone before me from my childhood, it has grown with my growth, and now it is an abyss the depths of which I cannot fathom. -St. Therese

Daffodils and Strawberry Patches
I saw the first daffodil bloom today.
The strawberry patch is green and looks promising.
I waited on the front step for my daughter to get off the bus - and I was comfortable even without a jacket.
My 81 year old mother has a field of daffodils growing in her front yard. Over the years she and my step-dad have added bulbs until the entire view is nothing but Daffodils each spring from their picture window. The excitement in her voice when she called to say "they are poking their heads up...it won't be long" makes me so thankful for this simple yet exquisite gift God brings to us each Spring. I am grateful for the pure joy they bring to my Mother and Dad, but more than that...that I have the privelege of still having my beautiful Mother.
I'll bet you he saw how happy that made you, appreciating all the beauty He made for you to see. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are right. Like a good Father, He must have seen the whole thing!
