This morning, Rocco Palmo, ever accurate and usually first in all news of this sort, reports on his excellent weblog "Whispers in the Loggia": "Settling the most-awaited of the current docket of appointments, the Pope has named Bishop Robert Carlson of Saginaw as archbishop of St Louis.
